Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics (Statistics major) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Nairobi and a professional certificate in Principles of Research Data Management and Collection from University of Washington. Chris has vast experience working with relational databases as well as the web-based database REDCap, extensive knowledge in offline mobile data collection(ODK) and statistical analysis with extended programming capabilities in R statistical software.

Prior to joining the Network, he worked as a Data assistant for Partners in Health, Research and Development(KEMRI-PHRD); conducting clinical trials data management for a period of 4 years as well as the Technical advisor for Data Management and collection with Partners PrEP scale up Project.

His major area of interest lies in developing data products and deep visualization of gigantic datasets. Blending statistical approaches via Machine Learning techniques and Data Science to bring out insights and trends in the growing world of big data.
